CivicNetZero Welcomes Santiago as First City
Santiago, Chile has joined as the first pilot city on the CivicNetZero platform, marking an important milestone in accelerating city-scale climate action.
CivicNetZero today announces that Santiago, Chile has joined as the first pilot city on its platform, marking an important milestone in accelerating city-scale climate action.
Cities are responsible for more than two-thirds of global energy use and over 70% of emissions, yet many face persistent challenges in turning climate ambition into investable, deliverable projects. CivicNetZero has been developed to address this gap — connecting cities, capital and delivery capability through an AI-enabled platform designed to accelerate progress from strategy to delivery.
Santiago joins the platform as an early mover, working in collaboration with CivicNetZero to shape and refine the approach while exploring how to unlock and progress priority projects.
“Santiago is committed to advancing climate action in a way that delivers real outcomes for our communities. Working with CivicNetZero gives us an opportunity to explore new ways to structure and accelerate projects, and to connect with the partners and investment needed to deliver them.”
“Cities need practical tools that help move from strategy to implementation. We are excited to collaborate on this pilot and help shape a platform that supports cities in identifying, prioritising and progressing opportunities more effectively.”
“Cities are where the climate challenge is felt most directly—and where solutions must be delivered. Santiago stepping forward as our first pilot city reflects real leadership. This is about building the infrastructure that helps cities turn ambition into investable, deliverable action.”
“We are delighted to be working with Santiago as our first pilot city. This is exactly the kind of partnership we hoped to build — collaborative, forward-looking and focused on delivery. By working together, we can help unlock opportunities faster and connect them with the capital and capability required to make them happen.”
During the pilot, CivicNetZero will work closely with Santiago to structure project pipelines, enhance investment readiness, and initiate connections with aligned capital providers and delivery partners.
The pilot programme is designed to support a small number of leading cities globally, helping to demonstrate how a more coordinated, data-driven approach can accelerate the transition from climate ambition to real-world delivery.
